Ottawa St. Free Museum Admission, sponsored by the Heritage Corridor CVB,  Saturday 8am-5pm.  Visit the original intersection of Lincoln Highway & Route 66 at Chicago & Cass Streets with other historic and family friendly activities throughout downtown. Take a special "Quick Look" tour at the Old Joliet Prison, 1125 N. Collins St and claim your Blues Brothers Hat & Sunglasses all for only $10. Tours are 8am - 3pm.  Collect your commemorative giveaway at either Joliet Area Historical Museum or at the Pop-Up store at the Old Joliet Prison. For more info call 815-723-5201.
Elwood- ​Saturday 8am-4pm—Elwood Village Hall, 401 E. Mississippi Ave. Historic Information & Welcome Center -Antique Tractor Exhibit. Quaint Downtown Business Center. Douglas Street Wayside Exhibit featuring Rosie the Riveter,  Arsenal Worker Statues & original Route 66 pavement. Visit Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Wilmington-  Chamber tent at north end of downtown vendors for commemorative giveaway. Large flea market on Water Street until 4pm., entertainment starting at 11am., Hula contest, hound dog contest, dance performance, food and more. Remaining commemorative  giveaways available at Nelly's Restaurant while supplies last. More Info Contact: 815-922-7966. At nearby Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie, celebrate Smokey Bear's 75th Birthday. Nineteen historic Rudy Wendelin prints will be on loan from the National Library, Speical Collections. Historic 16mm films, photos and vintage posters for Smokey Bear. 

Braidwood- Be sure to visit the Information booth located at the Rt 66 Zoo along with our vendors for the day of the event. Any remaining commemorative giveaways may be picked up at the Golden Mine Family Restaurant 111 S. Front St. 

Godley- Visit the Route 66 Mining Museum  to pick up your 2019 commemorative giveaway.  More Info Contact

Gardner- Meet & Greet with the Mayor at Two-Cell Jail for the commemorative giveaway.  Gardner Lions serving root beer floats in the Diner Car, Gardner Archives open at the Village Hall. Scapegoats Car Show 8-5 Depot Street parking lot, Church of Hope Rock-a-thon at the Gazebo, Spencer's Antiques & Resale open on Liberty Street. Dwight- Stop in Dwight to get your passport stamped and free commemorative giveaway at our Historic Ambler/Becker Texaco Station. This was the longest operating station on route 66. Do not miss our Route 66 Smokeout BBQ Contest and Springfest located on Old Route 66 at 411 W. Waupansie St. offering music, food, drinks, and fun from 10am to 5pm. Leave Route 66 and visit Downtown Dwight. There is a Frank Lloyd Wright Bank still being used and the Historic depot. Visit our local retail stores while you are downtown.

Pontiac- The Grand Opening of our latest exhibit on the weeks after the Lincoln Assassination, opening at the historic Strevell House. Abe himself will be in attendance on Saturday & Sunday. The Pontiac Community Art Center will be hosting their first ever Swinging Bridges Art Festival that will feature vendors, exhibitions, and Performances by local artists. Saturday evening enjoy the tunes of Uke 66 from Springfield, MO at the Eagle Performing Arts and Conference Center. Commemorative giveaways will be at the Pontiac Community Art center at 209 W.Madison St. Throughout the year.
Chenoa- Must do stop in Chenoa for flea market, food vendors, live music, Cruise in and more.  Commemorative giveaway will be available at the information booth under the tent. Remaining giveaways will be available at the Chenoa Pharmacy.

Lexington- Lexington’s activities will be located on Main Street, downtown Lexington. Live music, family activities, vendors, food, and vintage car/truck display. More Info Contact: 309-365-3331
